Daybook, 1797-1800.

Daybook, 1797-1800, giving entries for carriage of cargo and passengers between Albany and New York City, occasionally with stops at Coxsackie. The daybook also records the purchase and sale of merchandise on his own account by the owner, probably Matthew Trotter. The one cargo which appears frequently and in large quantities is potash.
